The Joseph Gillott mapping pen consists of a reversible plastic pen holder and a 659 nib. The nib is additionally mounted in a retractable handle, so you can hide it after work. The 659 nib is fine and flexible giving fine and wide lines depending on the pressure, it is stiffer than 850 or 2788. It is used for accurate and detailed drawing where a fine line is needed. Ideal for copperplate scribes and most mapping and drawing work. After finishing work, wash it in very warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly before using it again.
