Phoenix Oil Painting Medium is the result of a process with the application of heat, in the absence of oxygen, the result of which is an internal change in its molecules. Due to this reaction, slower drying, higher viscosity and less yellowing of the pigments are originated, as well as a final finish of a beautiful vitreous layer.
Traces of brush strokes are masked, so it is widely used in mediums for glazes and details in the last layers.
Given its slow drying, you should not use it for the first staining. To use it requires more turpentine.
